I was so excited when I found out that HBO was going to be doing a Game of Thrones prequel series called House of the Dragon. I absolutely loved Game of Thrones, so I had high hopes for this new show. And I’m happy to report that House of the Dragon did not disappoint! Here’s my review of the first season.
The Good
There was so much to like about this first season of House of the Dragon. The acting was top-notch, the sets and costumes were gorgeous, and the story was really interesting. I also loved getting to see more of Westero’s history. It was fascinating to learn more about the origins of House Targaryen and how they came to rule Westeros.
The Bad
If I had to nitpick, I would say that the pacing was a bit slow in some parts. But that’s really my only complaint.
The Bottom Line
Overall, I thought this first season was great and I can’t wait to see what happens in future seasons. If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones or just good television in general, then I highly recommend you check out House of the Dragon. You won’t be disappointed!
