Tequila Sunrise

The Tequila Sunrise is a drink from the 1970s, and like most drinks created in that era, it’s incredibly sweet and pretty to look at. For our modern take on the Tequila Sunrise, we like to add freshly squeezed orange juice, a quality tequila, and homemade grenadine.

  • Highball glass
  • Citrus juicer/extractor
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon

  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 4 ounces orange juice
  • orange slice
  • 1/2 ounce grenadine

  • Add the tequila and orange juice to an ice-filled Highball glass.
  • Stir gently, about three rotations. Add the grenadine; it will sink to the bottom, as it should. Garnish with the orange slice and cherry.

Combine equal parts POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice and sugar. Stir as the sugar settles and it’ll be ready to use in 15 minutes.
